Wellness Through Tai Chi

       Wellness is having the energy to fully participate and enjoy every aspect of one's life.

       Tai Chi and Qigong, often called moving meditations, are complete systems of exercise based on the martial arts. They are practiced slowly for their wonderful wellness benefits and to prevent illness and injury. They can be enjoyed by all, regardless of age, sex, weight or fitness level. No special clothing or equipment is required. They can be done anywhere, in a limited amount of space.

       The east is well known for its practices that emphasize relaxation, balance and harmony achieved, such as Tai Chi, Qigong, meditation and Traditional Chinese Medicine.   The west has given us a better understanding of exercise, health and fitness through scientific research.  Exercise programs offer documented improvements in physical function, mobility and quality of life.

Research has Tai Chi has a favorable effect on reducing stress, hypertension, blood pressure, heart disease, and other chronic diseases. It is ideal for active mature adults and baby boomers looking to enhance and expand their exercise options.

       Wellness through Tai Chi is a balance between physical, mental, and spiritual health. Exercise often emphasizes the physical aspects of skill, often to the exclusion of mental and spiritual development.
